I believe that the Church body should know where the Church stands on issues, ecspecially on moral and Christian issues. But agree that in his day it was synonymous.

Susan, when I originally wrote this post, in its pre-publish phase, I was writing how I see as Christians that we can no longer separate the waters topically based on interest in a subject or lack thereof.(I don't like the heavy-footed dogma of so many that give no one else opportunity for discussion however). Because of the delivery of people very passionate on various subjects, I often will stear clear of those people. Not because I'm not interested. I just like breathing room for thought in these discussions.

For the Christian, we have to investigate and know where we stand, and then TAKE a stand.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03852361286674074590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2155475931056827263.post-54855054779804930662009-04-30T13:08:00.000-07:002009-04-30T13:08:00.000-07:00Nancy, it must have been too early in the morning...Nancy, it must have been too early in the morning when I first replied to your original comment. After re-reading I decided that my comment was not relevant in that I did not understand what you were saying. You're a great communicator, but early in the morning, I just didn't catch it. (saying all this in case you see I deleted my original remark).Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03852361286674074590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2155475931056827263.post-71109945341563651882009-04-30T09:36:00.000-07:002009-04-30T09:36:00.000-07:00I love this quote Kathy!I love this quote Kathy!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01592521618056933581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2155475931056827263.post-80569854261549507362009-04-30T07:02:00.000-07:002009-04-30T07:02:00.000-07:00I wish he would have used the word "Christianity" ...I wish he would have used the word "Christianity" instead of "religion" but I know in his day it was synonymous. Sadly not so today.
