On-Line Beauty Contest
You decide! Who is more beautiful??? Our dog Lady, in her hand-decorated Elizabethan collar, or Queen Elizabeth in her own version of one incredible contraption. What was the Queen thinking? What was the Queen's clothing designer thinking?
Our yard came with cactus of varying heights, sizes and quill to pain ratios. Our question is....WHY??? Desert scapes, as they're called, totally escape me! As for Lady's encounter, are all the cactus in our yard laughing with punctured silence at our poor Lab/Queensland Healer, loser of the valiant fight with those prickly hosts? At this point, pun intended, her eye offends her, but we're going to try to not take scripture too far on this one. After all, she's a pooch! (Sorry for the snickers, Lady.)

You are funny! Poor Lady, I bet that collar drives her nuts!
Poor baby. I HATE CACTUS!!!
I love your sense of humor. Does Lady?!!! I have to admit when we saw the desert bloom one year while in Arizona I thought it was beautiful. Of course, you have to remember I was raised in New Mexico.
Susan
The collar has just survived day two, the cactus are still in the backyard, and Lady's eyes are improving with 4x a day medication. We are so thankful for good veterinarians who care as much for her as we do. In fact, I confess that my love for this dog has grown....I've let her have almost any treat she wants whenever she wants. Fortunately she's not into movies, or the videos would be going full time. We are so happy she's doing better.
Yes Susan, I too love the desert because I know God made it...don't tell Danny, but I really do like it here. : )
By the way, I'm casting my vote for ....LADY! Way more beautiful!
Lady Bug gets my vote too! Now all she needs is some fru fru in her hair :)
The collar is definitely...an objet d'bark...that will go down in your family annals!
Well, Lady managed to ditch the collar during the night. She acted as if she tried to put it back on herself, but I didn't buy it! : )
MLee, I'll have to check out Petsmart for the fru fru factor! Hmm wonder how long that would last.
Very Good Nancy. I'm thinking Lady wins this contest paws down!
Lady recovers, owner bears her pain. Updated post to follow.
