One of my favorite websites is Cooks.com. I have used it, along with many other sites, to satisfy the palates of some very important people in my life - my family. Today, I found a somewhat "pregnant" magnet, heavily laden with recipes, slip sliding diagonally further and further down the side of the fridge. You get the picture I'm sure. "Why not organize these recipes into a book of my own?", I asked myself. So....I did! Get out the page protectors, whip up a fancy dancy, clip art endowed cover page, and wha lah!! A Family Cookbook! And so, without further adieu....ladies and gentlemen, I present - the Wright Family Kitchen Cookbook! (Applause, applause.....the crowd is going absolutely crazy!!!).

...and now you must share these tried and true recipes with the rest of us!
And now you plan to make copies for your nearest and dearest?! What a doll you are!! A DOLL I say!
Copies??? This is an ever-growing resource. I was thinking about posting a new recipe every couple of weeks, you know..."fabulous food Friday" or something like that.
I love it Kathy! You are more organized everytime I talk to you:) I like the "Fabulous Food Fridays" idea. I think it would be great if you also MADE the recipes for your nearest and dearest friends...Just a thought...
I too, have a project like that in the works. Two binders, and 2 packages of page protectors later, I'm still not done. One of these days though.... The trouble is I keep finding more and more that I like!!
I'm with you, Traci. This is a project that will end when I send Bethany out the door when she gets married at, oh...say 30! It's fun collecting them and just keeping the ones we REALLLLLY really like! Stay warm!
I agree with Kristi and Liz...make the food for us! The pineapple upside down cake was very tasty! You could have a fabulous food Friday tasting party. Wow, now I am hungry.
Applesause, applesause... for Fabulous Food Fridays!...*; )
You make cooking sound so much "pun", Nancy! : ) Will you commute for a meal?
I stopped by to thank you for your kind comment and words of encouragement. Of course, while I was here I read this post and feel tapped on the shoulder once again to get busy on a project. My older ones are frequently calling home to get this recipe or that recipe which means I have to dig through my old file box and find the stained 3 x 5 card where their favorite recipe is written. I had decided to make my own cookbook for them with recipes in protected pages so that it would be available for years to come.
Now, WHEN will I find the time to do this?! LOL!
And again, thanks!
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
